Lloyd´s Register Quality Assurance Ltd.

In 1997 SAFINA, a.s. has implemented and since then maintained Quality Management System according to ČSN EN ISO 14001 standard. The certificate was issued by British company Lloyd´s Register Quality Assurance Ltd.

Quality policy

Quality policy is based on the principle of focusing on the market and customers. In accord with the quality policy we maintain and develop a system to ensure and control quality and unify activities of organizational units as well as individuals towards continuous improvement of quality.

Top management of the company acknowledges the principles of quality and, in order to endorse the efforts in improving quality, it undertakes:

Fulfilling customers’ requests to maximal possible extend while minimizing negative impact on the environment. High quality of products and services becomes very essential aspect of company’s activities.
Customer’s satisfaction is the criterion of quality of each employee’s work.
Each employee is responsible for quality of products and services and every threat to quality must be eliminated by any employee according to his best capacity and notified of to his direct superior.
Demands on quality apply to all subcontractors equally.
Improving of quality must be permanent aiming to eliminate occurring errors but also to determine their causes
We undertake to keep improving the processes of quality management system on the basis of findings from production and expand the scope of the QMS to all activities required.
The management on all levels documents its aims in quality by strategies.
This policy, strategy and plans are published for all concerned persons and explained during regular meetings and for the company’s management on all levels.

The scope of understanding of these principles is examined during evaluation of activities at least 1x per year during revisions of quality management system by the management of the company.

Protecting the environment

In 2003 SAFINA, a.s. has implemented and received certificate Environmental Management System according to the ISO 14 001 standard.

Policy of EMS

SAFINA, a.s. is a company with longstanding tradition in processing precious metals. Its production activities include purchasing and re-processing materials containing precious metals, processing and producing catalysts, producing chemicals, materials and tools for industrial use on the basis of precious metals, producing materials for dental use, metals, their alloys and semifinished products for jewellery use.

SAFINA, a.s. aims to minimize the negative impact of its activities on the environment and as a part of implementation of Environmental Management System according to ČSN EN ISO 14 001 acknowledges the following principles:

Work towards permanent reduction of negative elements in its products, activities and services with significant impact on the environment
Appreciate environmental management as one of the highest priorities
Constantly improve its influence on the environment and prevent pollution
Satisfy legislative requirements and other requirements regarding environmental protection
Constantly develop the Environment Management System in accord with the principles of ČSN EN ISO 14001 standard
Use materials and energy effectively and thus protect mineral resources
Provide for regular training of employees in environmental protection

Accreditation of laboratories

SAFINA, a.s. carries out control activities in own accredited analytical laboratory with modern equipment and experienced personnel. Powerful and high-quality equipment enables carrying out very accurate chemical and technological analysis of precious metals in various materials. At the same time it guarantees to our customers high quality of analyzing and assurance of objective results.
